Today, we would like to share with you the biography of the incredible Tao Porchon Lynch.

Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master, tells the story of a remarkable woman who, at 99 years old, is still teaching yoga daily, wearing heels on a regular basis and driving around LA in her SmartCar. She is famous for blowing away the judges on America’s Got Talent during her incredibly active dance routine with her 26 year-old dance partner. If you haven’t seen it, watch here:

But perhaps more remarkable (really!) than her current status as an almost-centenarian-yogi, is her life story. Born in French India, Tao marched with Mahatma Ghandi, formed an important part of the resistance movement in WWII and was a model/actress in the Golden Age of Hollywood, rubbing elbows with the likes of Marylin Monroe and Marline Deitrich. She truly lives according to her motto: “There is nothing you cannot do.”

This book tells a story of a life well-lived but also imparts Tao’s immeasurable wisdom with the reader. Her philosophy on gratitude, aging, and being present and connected to nature is truly beautiful. We promise you will love her as much as we do!
