Buddha Bites are a great mid-morning treat when you need a little pick-me up at work or in between running errands. Keep them in the fridge and you can easily wrap them in a little tin foil to take them with you on the go!
2 Bananas, ripe
2 cups Mixed Whole Oats (Wheat, Oatmeal, Centeno)
1 tbsp ground flax seed
1 tbsp hempseed hearts
1/4 cup Buddha Butter Awakened Almond or Peaceful Peanut
1/4 cup Honey (optional)
2 tbsp Chocolate chips, mini
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
-Add all dry ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
-Then in the middle of the dry mixture, add the ripened banana and smash with a fork.
-Add nut butter of your choice and stir together until completely mixed. (Using a fork works best)
-Cover mixture and let sit in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
If too gooey, add a bit more oatmeal.
If too dry, add a bit more nut butter.
-Once the mixture is firm enough to handle, roll into small sized balls using about a tablespoon of the mix. (To keep from sticking you can rub some oats between your palms as you roll)
-Keep energy bites refrigerated.
